Rookie Rugby debuts in Minnesota with TMF's help
Rookie Rugby provides kids with rugby skills and is tons of fun!
Hosted by Hopkins RFC and facilitated by US U23 Eagle Nick Johnson and his sister US U20 Eagle Katie Johnson, the Eagles provided the kids in attendance a starting foothold for what Rugby's all about.
Skills training such as passing, running forward, passing back, were initial lessons the kids were taught. Later on the kids got to try their hand (feet) at drop kicking, whilst the parents rested from all the running they were doing. Fun was had by all and the kids are already looking forward to the next time they can 'PLAY RUGBY'.
Rookie Rugby in Minnesota makes its debut
Hopkins RFC's alums and current U23 and U20 Eagles Nick and Katie Johnson led 12 youngsters and their parents and a few high school coaches in some basic drills including passing, running forward, and even some two on one's.
